You must stop exhibiting The Lone Ranger Mentality and begin asking for help. This letter will accomplish two important objectives:
By sending this letter to satisfied customers you are inferring that the relationship is a healthy one. Of course you will only send this letter to customers who are extremely pleased with you and your service. I suggest that you also accompany this letter with a flyer or some additional information which can be read quickly and carries a clear reminder of the services your agency offers.
Ask for three leads so that you capture at least one. Be sure to reference how you came about writing to this individual. Mention your client’s name early in the letter. Stick to your promise and write a letter … no phone calls at this time.
There will be clients of yours who would prefer not to participate. This is okay. Your job is to ask … not cajole. If you are open, honest and enthusiastic about your work, you can feel good about asking for help.
