This is not intended to be a forward question. And no, I am not being fresh.
In today’s fast-paced world which offers a zillion options to just about everything under the sun, the last thing in the world we need (as consumers) is for somebody to make our lives more difficult. This is especially true when there involves a voluntary exchange of money.
If you are not already “easy,” you had better become “easy” …. fast.
How does one become easy?
The initial way is for you to UNDERSTAND that your clients already have lives that are full of stress, inconveniences, broken promises, ill-timed distractions and a to-do list as long as their left arms. They are busy, and the last thing they need is for voluntary input contributing to more of the above.
But because you are “easy,” you (1) bring an upbeat attitude, (2) do everything you say you will do on time and in good order, and (3) effectively remove as best you can the doubt and fear of working with an “outsider.”
You also allow your client to be “human,” and that sometimes means changing their minds, waffling in their decisions and in general, making your life a bit more challenging.
Hey! I’ve said it before and I will say it again. “You do not have to do business with everybody. But if you do choose me as a client, then it is in your best interest to be “easy.”
Now. Get up. Get out. And make more people glad they know you.
