Before introducing yourself to a bunch of strangers, it makes more sense to remind the people you already know (1) what you do, (2) how you do it, and (3) what you can do for them. The Law of Reciprocity infers that many of the people in your current universe will soon be working with you if only you remind them of your capabilities. Write a letter of “reminder” to the following people.
