Good morning People!
Yesterday afternoon I came across an old archived Monday Morning Meassge. I think it bears repeating.
Last night was the Golden Globe Awards. (Remember this is an archived post.)
These gala shows usually bore me to tears as they feature four hours of repetitive accolades, but one particular sound bite hit me right between the eyes.
Jamie Foxx won the award for “Best Actor” in RAY, for the Best Performance By An Actor In A Motion Picture Musical or Comedy. Apparently, he was tickling the keys in front of Ray Charles when he made a mistake. Ray Charles quickly responded to the error by saying,
“All the keys are right there under your fingers. All you have to do is hit the right ones.”
BRILLIANT!
And so it is with us. Chances are that all the right keys are right in front of us. All we have to do is learn how to hit the right ones. And if you combine them in the right order, with the proper timing, with just the proper amount of pressure, a beautiful song is the result of your efforts.
Give this logical analogy some serious thought as your Monday unfolds. What are the important keys in your life? (Both on and off the job.) Then, start practicing the proper sequence. You already have all you need to become a very successful person. All that is left is a little more practice.
I hope you are “feeling” my message today. You may already have everything you need to succeed. All you have to do is put things in order … and practice like hell.
